Many artists over the years have painted the bridges of New York City, but few have been as singularly committed to painting all nine of New York's major bridges as Antonio Masi. The artist will give a demonstration on his approach to his large-scale paintings (usually 60"x40") in watercolor. Following the demonstration, attendees can obtain an autographed book of "New York's Golden Age of Bridges", which he co-authored with Joan Marans Dim and is published by Fordham Press and Oxford Press.
His work is currently on exhibit at the NY Transit Museum through October 7.

"Arts Below Sunrise" will be held on Sunday October 14th, 2012 along Broadway in Hewlett and Woodmere [Broadway will be closed for the day between Conklin Avenue and Trinity Place]. The "Arts Below Sunrise" Festival is the evolution of last year's "Fall Harvest Festival" held on 10/30/11 at the Woodmere Middle School. This year, the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools Endowment Fund will be partnering with the Hewlett-Woodmere Business Association for this FREE fundraising event.
