Roberta Bissoli is an Italian artist born in Monza in 1967. Her artistic output is recognizable thanks to a clearly defined stylistic signature, which establishes a dialogue between material and color. One example of Bissoli's artistic output is the composition on canvas of $1 bills, to which a UV varnish is added that, when exposed to the right light, reveals a critical, "stirring" message to the viewer. Indeed, for the artist, colors are a useful medium for conveying messages; their essentiality becomes a bearer of meaning at the service of the material. |

ARTIST'S PURPOSE AND RESEARCH For the artist, the purpose of art is to give substance to the immaterial, to give body to that which has no body. We also find new painting techniques in numerous series that the artist has created with different materials, such as "Moonlight" or "Aloha", "Sakura" and "Magnolia", created with also a perfume scent to include the visitor in both a visual and olfactory experience. |

“My art aims to be a dialogue between the work and the viewer, attempting to bridge the gap between abstract and concrete; to shorten the distance between art and humanity; to bridge the gap between dream and reality.”

What artistic media or techniques best represent your style and practice?
The technique that gives me the most satisfaction is experimental, material, abstract, and very close to POP art. My artistic production is heterogeneous and vast, dotted with themes, colors, sensations, materials, and shapes [...]. My art can change the atmosphere of a space, highlight a detail: LIGHT ME UP and the magic takes shape. Light is my best ally: especially when it takes shape, shattering in my works. I love experimenting, I love using different materials and techniques, I love thinking outside the box. My art is UNCONVENTIONAL. |
