TIM CONLON     SCLX #5     2026     7 x 24 x 5 inches

For nearly three decades, Tim Conlon has documented the ever-changing landscape of the American railroad through a practice that bridges graffiti culture, photorealism, and contemporary painting. Still Rolling showcases the latest works from Conlon's ongoing G-scale train car series, alongside paintings from his celebrated Blank Canvas series—a body of work that combines typography, abstraction, and trompe-l'oeil to transform freight trains into striking visual studies of history, industry, and urban expression.

TIM CONLON     SCPX #2     2026     7 x 24 x 5 inches

Rendered primarily with spray paint, Conlon's paintings bring railroad logos, weathered steel, oxidized surfaces, and layers of graffiti into remarkable focus. These scale studies reflect decades of firsthand observation, the result of countless hours spent walking rail lines and documenting freight cars belonging to rail companies that have since disappeared through consolidation, modernization, and time. As intermodal freight transport continues to replace traditional boxcars with shipping containers, these once-familiar symbols of American industry inch closer to extinction.

TIM CONLON     BCIT #12     2026     7 x 24 x 5 inches

In Still Rolling, Conlon assumes the role of a contemporary rail archaeologist. His paintings reveal the clean geometry of manufactured steel alongside the organic beauty of rust, fading paint, and accumulated graffiti, preserving visual histories that would otherwise disappear. Each work becomes a record of movement, memory, and transformation—capturing not only the evolution of the train itself but also the anonymous artists who have left their marks across its surface.

TIM CONLON     MD&W #8     2026     7 x 24 x 5 inches

Straddling the worlds of urban art and the traditional gallery space, Conlon builds upon the letterform techniques and discipline of graffiti while pushing the medium toward broader themes of history, craftsmanship, and cultural preservation. His work demonstrates how the visual language of the street can resonate far beyond its original context, inviting viewers to reconsider the overlooked beauty of industrial America.
