‘A VIBE.

A REDISTRIBUTION OF ENERGY.

A PIVOT FROM THE ROUGH CURRENT TO THE SMOOTH.

In this exhibit we wanted to bring together all forms of flow. The abstract, the figurative, the surprisingly provocative and the understated beauty.

Hamptons’ waters are the obvious selection but how the waters are captured is the exception. That is the redistribution of energy.  Pages of books shot in the abstract that create their own beautiful energy that few ever notice is the pivot.  Coupling the black and white page imagery with black and white portraits of music icons defined and applauded by their journeys and flowers with a graffiti spin that adds to the flow in vibrant and unexpected ways is the vibe.

Graffiti in itself is a flowing art and as such we would be remiss not to include some graffiti abstracts that say shine in the dark and thanks for the silence. When you’re in the flow, you’re in a beautiful place. We look forward to seeing you there.’

CURATOR'S INSIGHT

“In business and in battle you have an end goal in mind.   You stay the course, and any mistake or obstacle is viewed as an unwanted intrusion to be quickly handled but in the world of art mistakes can lead to delightful surprises, and obstacles can create unforeseen opportunities.  If Jackson Pollack didn’t need more space for his canvases and serendipitously found the floor, he never would have discovered his “drip” technique.   Was it a mistake when Manet’s reflection in the mirror did not match the scene or when Rembrandt seemed to have two left-handed gloves?   Who knows?   Whether intentional or a delightful surprise, the end result was two masterpieces.  Art is a creative journey filled with trials and errors and all kinds of things that can take you off the course.  But it is in that straying where artists find the magic, that unique look that becomes their signature, their voice.  This exhibit celebrates the STRAY.   Honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way.”

Karyn Mannix contemporary and The White Room are excited to bring you the 12^th Annual Love & Passion: The Dirty Dozen… inspired Art Show. This is hottest event of the winter art scene in the Hamptons. Featuring  80plus artists from across the country, exhibit their photography, painting, mixed media. The show is open for Public voting (with awards going to the artists) in Best in Show,  Most Thought Provoking, and Most Original. We will have a 50/50 raffle at the opening night reception $5 per ticket 5/$20.

Saturday, February 11^th, 5 to 8pm:  Opening Wine Reception

Sunday, February 12^th, 1 to 3pm: Lingerie Soiree Paper Doll Boutique Trunk Show.

Just in time for Valentine's Day,  a Lingerie Soirée Trunk Show, featuring fabulous art and lingerie. We will have retro, true vintage and vampy lingerie styles, as well as sexy accessories, stockings and shapewear available.

Whether you're feeling naughty or sweet, we are bringing styles in sizes XS-2X, so we have something for every body! Come out and celebrate the skin you're in, as well as all the pretty things you can put on and take off!
