The artists' reception will be Saturday, September 24th from 2-4pm. The theme is "The Art of Reading". Submit one work that expresses this idea. There are no color or style restrictions. Creative interpretations of this theme are eagerly anticipated. Entry Procedure: Please send a high resolution JPEG ( 350 dpi or larger or 3" x 5" in size) of the work, clearly labeled with the Artist's name, address, phone #, title, medium and dimensions along with a current Artist's resume and statement. All accepted work must be original and created by the submitting artist. It must be wired to hang, (No saw-tooth hardware). They strongly suggest the use of Plexiglas over Glass. Please clearly label the back of your work. Sales are encouraged and a 25% commission of the retail price will go to the SHPL. Please submit before the deadline of July 10th 2011 to dk.hangingart@gmail.com Artists selected will be notified by phone by July 15th 2011.
