Jamie Forbes shows her Environmental Photographs in in Two Exhibitions March 26, and 28th.

Jamie Forbes  exhibitions this week at the The Moriches Bay Art Alliance Group Show at the Brookhaven Town Hall Gallery, 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville, NY 11738, Thursday March 26, 3-7 PM, and the  Mill Pond House, 176 Mills Pond rd. , St James.

As a photographer, Jamie Forbes steps into each moment, capturing the intrinsic energies exchanged between her subjects and her camera. Forbes’s goal is to offer viewers not only a historical record but also to reveal the deeper intent present within every photograph. Through her Eco-Art perspective, both in portraiture and scenic imagery, Forbes seeks to initiate a dialogue between the viewer and the artist. This conversation is designed to promote the concept that “we live with others” and are all participants in sharing and shaping our environment.

Forbes’s images possess a timeless quality of interconnectedness, conveying the subtle, underlying conversations that tell the story of the environment and the complex exchange between the natural world and the boundaries imposed by human cultivation. As Forbes states, “The images represent a story of my encounters that state the narrative understanding between the subject and photographer.” Her work is informed by five decades of experience in the international art community, where she has contributed as a publisher, gallerist, writer, and photographer.
