FLOWERS INTO ART: Georgia O'Keeffe Workshop

Tuesday, March 17, 12:00pm - 1:00pm (EDT)

Explore the ways in which Lee Krasner and popular American artist Georgia O’Keeffe captured floral motifs in their abstract art. Then, based on O'Keeffe's work, we will design beautiful floral paintings that are larger than life. Have drawing or painting supplies on hand and a flower (a photograph, artificial, or real flower).

Offered by the Old Forge Library

Get a Voice! Art and Social Justice

Thursday, March 19, 3:00pm - 4:00pm (EDT)

How do artists respond to social injustices? Can art create social change and promote fairness? We will explore issues of social justice using art as a springboard for discussion. Joyce will then demonstrate techniques to get your own message across in a poster. SUPPLIES: poster board or large paper, assorted papers to cut and paste, scissors and glue, or drawing and paint.
