30th Fulton Street Arts Fair Brooklyn, October 17-18, 2028

How to conduct yourself

Here's a haiku for you:

Now: Conduct yourself
like electricity or
a bold symphony

Because...isn't is amazing that you can? My prayer for you is that you always choose to get your spark back. We have work to do, and you deserve to enjoy yourself while you're doing it.

This is my second time participating in Gowanus Open Studios, an annual art crawl in Brooklyn and the borough's biggest celebration of local art. Hundreds of artists across dozens of venues will open their studio doors to the public this weekend. I will exhibit with my fellow Fulton Art Fair members at St. Lydia's (309 Bond St.). Stop by so I can talk with you about my work and so you can see my latest projects. Tell a friend!

You can also see my art exhibited at Hamilton Landmark Galleries (467 W 144th St.) through the end of November. I showed my work there with fellow Jamaican artist Ava Tomlinson as part of the annual Harlem Open Studios Art Tour. I loved chatting with folks who stopped in to see us. I think that's my favorite part of being an artist--meeting wonderful people.

I've got some new poems out in the word and you can find them in Winter in America (Still and PREE Literary Magazine. Check them out and tell me what you think!

Remember, you are a symphony. One of creation's beautiful songs. Act accordingly ❤️

Peace & Blessings,
Keisha
