More Online activity from the Southampton Art Center! Take the Creativity Challenge!

First of all, how are you doing? We hope you are all finding ways to keep yourselves active, engaged, and healthy. That said... We are excited to launch a new virtual program - SAC's Creativity Challenge! Each week while galleries are closed we will release a new challenge. Let's begin... SAC's Creativity Challenge, Week 1: Pen to Paper Describe Your Surroundings This can be in the form or prose, poetry, song or creative writing - as long as it's TRUE. Power Poetry offers these suggestions: Look at where you are, and write down keywords about what you see, including nature, animals, buildings, etc. What is the weather like?  What people are near you? You don't have to be outside to write about the setting you're in. Use all of your senses. Authority Pub recommends the following to help guide a creative writing exercise: Simply write a paragraph or two about your surroundings. You can write in first person or third person. Challenge yourself to use descriptive language to set the scene so the reader can “see” what you see. CLICK for more tips. Submissions for SAC's Creativity Challenge will be featured on southamptonartscenter.org, on social media and in a final video presentation on our YouTube channel.
