Nysa City Suburb 2 is a 2014ArtSlant Showcase Winner in their 5th juried competition. ArtSlant is a worldwide art networking site.

Seen from above this is a typical housing complex. With the aerial perspective and by eliminating the details, the landscape has been reduced to be more graphic than representational.

Alex & Evan received Special Recognition in the Faces Juried Online International Art Exhibition atUpstream People Gallery alsoSpeeding Older Couple. Additional paintings included in the show arePlaying Dress Up, Boy with Lion Face Paint and Girl in Swimming Pool.

These portraits evoke a stylized impression of the faces with a light sensibility to the narrative. I tried to capture the moment, but beyond the portrait, to tell a story.
