Hi All, Check out the email notice below I received from Pedra Bramell about her Northwest Wilderness project!
She responded to my Facebook post for artist emails during the Corvid 19 virus outbreak. Lie the Creative Life. Join me & email info@fineartmagazine.com to share your activity. Thanks, best Jamie
Pedra: "I have been a full time artist since graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1970 and coming back to the actual cabin I was born in and this land.
This endeavor to pass forward these acres I consider far more important than any piece or pieces of my art ….. far more important !!! There ARE more important things than my creature comforts.
AND once cut down a forest like this never grows back the same and takes well beyond 150 years.
This is a forest mostly of northern hardwoods most of which are 75 - 125 years old and older. This is a forest which sequesters a lot of carbon.
About 1 3/4 miles of the North Branch of the Ottauquechee River and the Bridgewater Hollow Brook run thru it. Those waters are clear and cold and clean enough to drink . The Bridgewater Hollow Brook forms a small gorge. All the roads are less traveled one lane dirt roads.
The following links will give you a lot of information
AND a way to donate, to bring the fund raising to its goal."
I write to you because HELP is needed by the Northeast Wilderness Trust
It takes the individual
It takes a family
It takes a community
EVERY donation counts AND is needed !!!
Without our life giving forests WE DIE.
Without clean water WE DIE.
Without the above YOUR children will not have a planet to live on.
PLEASE JOIN the Northeast Wilderness Trust and donate.
PLEASE ask your friends TO DONATE.
If you need any more information please email me or email Jon Leibowitz Executive Director of the Northeast Wilderness Trust.
