Special Olympics NY Hosts 2026 Long Island Spring Games At Multiple Venues Within Massapequa School District Nearly 750 Athletes and 400 Coaches Registered to Attend Long Island’s Largest Annual Competition Massapequa, NY – Athletes from Long Island and New York City are gearing up for a thrilling day of competition at the 2026 Long Island Spring Games, Long Island’s largest Special Olympics competition each year. Details on the event are as follows: - When: Saturday, May 2, 2026. The parade line up begins at 9:00 AM, Opening Ceremonies start at 9:30 AM, with Competition beginning at 10:30 AM.
