Families are invited to celebrate Día de Los Muertos at this special event at The Heckscher Museum in collaboration with the Town of Huntington Hispanic Advisory Task Force!
On the evening of Saturday, Oct. 28, learn about this special holiday and how it is celebrated around the world at this free family event. Help the Museum begin building a community altar in the Central Gallery honoring and remembering loved ones and welcoming spirits back to the realm of the living! Participate in a variety of activities including creating colorful paper flowers, sugar skulls, picture frames, and more. Draw an image of a loved one, past or present, to place on the altar, or bring a photo or other special item from home.

Registration recommended. Space is limited.
The community altar will remain on view for all visitors to see and continue contributing drawings, photos, and other special items to on Sunday, Oct. 29 and Thursday, Nov. 2, during regular open hours.
