Zoom Programs hosted by Joyce Raimondo, Education Coordinator
Picturing Loss: Bereavement and Art
Wednesday, November 1, 7:00pm - 8:00 pm EDT Joyce Raimondo leads an informal presentation about how she and famous artists express grief through painting. A discussion of Lee Krasner’s painting following Jackson Pollock’s untimely death is discussed along with artists Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, and others. Each artwork serves as a springboard for discussion about the grieving process and participation is welcomed. This special workshop is inspired by Joyce’s loss of her brother as a teenager and the discovery of an enormous strength she found through art. Participants are welcome to share or observe.
