Opening Day at the Hampton Classic will feature hundreds of riders from Long Island competing in local hunter divisions.               Headlining competition on Opening Day is the $20,000 Nicolock Time Challenge, beginning at 8:00 a.m.  More than thirty top show jumping riders and horses are expected to compete in this popular speed class. Following a brief Opening Day ceremony at 1:30 pm, the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, presented by MeadowView Farms, will take center stage in the Grand Prix Ring.  This class features some of the nation’s best hunter horses and riders.
