Hermès Returns to 2019 American Gold Cup at Old Salem Farm, New York
North Salem, N.Y. - Sept. 9, 2019 - Hermès will return to the 2019 American Gold Cup (AGC), presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, LLC, with the $35,000 Hermès Sellier Cup taking place Saturday, September 14, on the Grand Prix Field at Old Salem Farm.

Kristen Vanderveen and Bull Run's Prince of Peace won the 2018 $35,000 Hermès Sellier Classic.
As a multi-year supporter of the CSI 4*-W horse show, Hermès will continue to enhance the AGC with its presence as a maker of high-quality equestrian products crafted for horse, rider and barn. As U.S. President & CEO Robert B. Chavez comments, "Hermès is delighted to support equestrian sports at leading events around the world, such as at the American Gold Cup. Our products are made to meet the demands of competition at the highest level to ensure the highest possible quality. We are proud to celebrate a long-standing relationship with this very special event thanks to the excellent caliber of riders and beautiful scenic setting."

An expert in leathercraft since 1837, Hermès continually seeks to perfect the technical performance of its equestrian equipment. Its master saddlers work in close collaboration with riders and their horses to customize each new saddle to the exact measurements of the horse that will wear it. At the 2019 AGC, Hermès is proud to present Hermès Vivace, a close-contact jumping saddle perfectly accommodated to the specificities of the American riding style.

"We are thrilled to be working with Hermès for another year at the American Gold Cup. The company is renowned for excellence and elegance, two values we strive to uphold at our own event and is an ideal partner for our horse show thanks to its rich equestrian history as a saddle maker," said show organizer Matt Morrissey of Morrissey Management Group.

This year Hermès will be joined by newest partner riders, Karen Polle and Lucy Deslauriers, who will host invited guests in the Hermès lounge between their competition performances. The Hermès boutique located on the first floor of the two-story tent at the northwest corner of the Grand Prix Field will offer a comprehensive collection of equestrian products as well as silk and other accessories.
