DOWNTOWN DESIGN
Tomorrow is the last day and is open throughout to the public. The fair’s new section, Downtown Editions, presents the very best of collectable contemporary design.
The weekend is the time for families and visitors of all ages to enjoy Dubai Design Week. Staged by Ripe Market, the Design Souk is a festival of design, retail, food and live events.
Designed by Saeed Al Madani and Hind Bin Demaithan and supported by Tashkeel, the Dubai Pavilion investigates sound, image, and video sourced from archival vaults and personal recordings.
Pioneering a new exercise-enabled form of furniture, ‘stool.D’ provides a means for people to remain active when they are sitting, working, playing games or watching TV.
Using language as material, the Beirut pavilion by designer and artist Tamara Barrage and visual artist David Habchy provides a fresh perspective on how the city can be experienced, perceived and engaged with.
