You can pull up and unload right at the back door of the Civic Center. Get your ticket Across its sectors — Galeries, Emergence, and Premise — the 2026 line-up spans Modern, postwar, and contemporary art, bringing historically focused projects, solo presentations, and a record number of joint booths. Galeries: The fair's core Galeries brings together 183 leading Modern, postwar, and contemporary art dealers, showcasing their programs via solo, duo, and group presentations spanning 20th-century masters, blue-chip artists, mid-career practitioners, and emerging voices. France-based galleries continue to play a central role across the sector, with 64 participating at this year's edition.  Among the international galleries making their Art Basel Paris debut, presentations range from historical movements such as Dada, Pop Art, and Arte Povera to contemporary practices that foreground postcolonial perspectives and engage with Queer joy, collective memory, and ecological concerns.  Explore more Emergence: New voices Emergence presents 16 solo booths dedicated to emerging artistic practices across the balconies of the Grand Palais' central nave. The 2026 edition is marked by significant renewal, with 12 first-time participants and a broad geographic spread across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas. Highlights include KIN, presenting Angharad Williams' large-scale trout paintings and a first-person video exploring desire and consumption; P21  debuting Haneyl Choi's body-focused sculptures inspired by sleepwalking; and Galerie Oskar Weiss, showing Lorenza Longhi's mosaic-inspired installation and largest painting to date. Serpentine North 23 September 2026 – 31 January 2027 Serpentine presents a major solo exhibition of New Delhi-based artist and filmmaker Amar Kanwar (b. 1964, New Delhi, India), one of the most prominent artists working in moving image today. On view at Serpentine North, the exhibition runs from 23 September 2026 until 31 January 2027.   For over two decades, Kanwar has developed a distinctive body of lyrical films that move between documentary, travelogue and visual essay to explore the specific conditions of the Indian subcontinent. Having produced and directed numerous films and multi-video installations, Kanwar’s poetic and contemplative works are frequently marked by the history of his country, tracing the legacies of decolonialisation and the Partition of India and Pakistan. Whilst charged with a regional specificity and deeply personal histories, Kanwar’s work grapples with some of the most pressing issues of our time. Reckoning with the past as a means to better comprehend the present, Kanwar bears witness to social upheaval, displacement, power, violence, justice and memory, ultimately revealing what unites – rather than differentiates – us, regardless of geography or context. Within the darkened galleries, visitors will encounter a trilogy of transfixing films by Kanwar: the feature-length Such a Morning (2017), the multi-screen installation The Peacock’s Graveyard (2023), and a new multi-screen installation titled The Charcoal Man (2026), which premieres at Serpentine.   Press pack and images are available below and through our Media Centre, accessible below.
