We are looking forward to celebrating with you at events hosted by our Cultural Partners, esteemed local institutions and longstanding community art hubs in Miami. A few highlights include Bakehouse Art Complex's annual Baker's Brunch: Open Studios + Cafecito on Thursday December 1st. Start your morning with complimentary coffee while seeing work inside their artists' studios and exploring exhibitions in the surrounding campus. After visiting Untitled Art during the day, head to the opening reception for Didier William: Nou Kite Tout Sa Dèyè, curated by Erika Moiah James at the The Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami. Translated as “We’ve Left That All Behind,” the exhibition presents an in-depth look at the North Miami-raised artist’s career through paintings, drawings and a newly commissioned, monumental sculpture.

Additionally, the De la Cruz Collection is hosting open hours Tuesday 11/29 - Saturday 12/3 from 9:30-4:30pm for a chance to see their exhibition Together, at the Same Time. “We started collecting contemporary art when we moved with our children to Miami from Madrid in 1975 - at first, the art works were of Latin American artists. You can see in this year’s exhibition works by Rufino Tamayo, Wifredo Lam, Carlos Alfonzo and Ana Mendieta among others..." — excerpt of a quote from Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz, 2022.

And make sure to bookmark a visit to El Espacio 23's notable exhibition YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE: Recent Acquisitions of Cuban Art from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection— This exhibition highlights works acquired since 2017 as part of an ongoing investigation and interest in Cuban and Cuban diaspora art. Rather than a historical survey of the history of Cuban art, the thematic exhibition brings together over 100 artists of different generations who share collective experiences yet take a very personal approach to their practice. Work by Miami-based artist Ema Ri, who is also included in this exhibition, will be on view at Untitled Art this year as part of our Special Projects section. Read more on our website.

Mana Contemporary Exhibits Nyugen Smith's at the Art Fair C14, November 10-13, 2022

Bundlehouse FS Mini No. 9 Sunset | Courtesy of the Artist

Mana Contemporary, in association with Sean Horton (Presents), is pleased to feature sculpted and wall mounted works by Jersey City artist, Nyugen E. Smith at New Jersey’s largest visual arts event, Art Fair 14C. The Fair will run from November 10-13, 2022, at the historic Armory located at 678 Montgomery Street, Jersey City, New Jersey.

Nyugen E. Smith is a first-generation Caribbean-American interdisciplinary artist based in Jersey City, NJ where he maintains a studio at Mana Contemporary. Through found object sculpture, mixed media drawing, performance, photography, sound, video, and writing, Nyugen deepens his knowledge of historical and present-day conditions of Black African descendants in the diaspora.

Nyugen launched his prolific series Bundlehouse in 2005 consisting of mixed media, assemblage and sculptural works and is centered around forced migration.  The New York Times’s art review by Siddhartha Mitter and Will Heinrich, on September 8, 2022, lists Sean Horton (Presents) (Platform #7) one-person show, Nyugen E. Smith, as one of the favorite booths at this year's Armory Show. Smith will be showcasing (Bundlehouse: Here and Now) at Art Fair 14C in Booth C26.
