VENICE – Arte Laguna Prize The promotion of creativity can no longer be limited to simple exhibition: it must transform into an engine for growth, dialogue, and innovation. Cutting-edge collaborations, such as those presented for years by Arte Laguna Prize, demonstrate that supporting artistic talent today requires a global network of synergies, where art meets Industrial Visions, Art Residencies, and Sustainability-focused partnerships. Through its Special Prizes program, Arte Laguna Prize sets in motion collaborations capable of bridging the gap between industrial rigor and free artistic interpretation. The Prize confirms its role as a catalyst for transformative opportunities. It is not just about celebrating the finished work, but about nurturing the creative process itself, allowing art to influence new sectors and interpret global challenges, from sustainability to technological innovation. International residencies, site-specific projects, cash prizes, and collaborations with forward-thinking companies all converge toward a single goal: fostering the growth of artists and enhancing the value of Contemporary Art in all its forms. In 2026, ties with prestigious Artistic Residencies are confirmed: • BigCi (Bilpin, Australia): an immersive experience within the UNESCO heritage of the Blue Mountains; • NY20+ (Chengdu, China): an innovative art complex in the heart of the city; • Litix Spa (Carrara, Italy): a two-week residency including an authentic block of Carrara marble and a €1,500 grant; • MoCA (Venice, Italy): the Prize's founding Association, which will host an artist at its headquarters; • LAB852 (Hvar, Croatia): an art residency and production for the Jelsa Art Biennial, focusing on sustainability and the local community. The historic collaboration with The Swatch Art Peace Hotel returns, offering a three-month residency in Shanghai, the beating heart of international creativity. This partner provides an environment where creativity knows no limits or boundaries, a space where every creative mind, practicing any discipline, can do one thing: create. The residency includes: travel to Shanghai, accommodation (B&B), a studio, and participation in the residency's activities. FOMAS Group is offering three cash prizes of €7,000, €4,000, and €3,000 for works capable of narrating the journey of steel from hot to cold. The Italian multinational, a leader in forging, rolling, and metal powder production, represents technological excellence in the energy and aerospace sectors; today, it chooses to translate the precision of steel into the language of Contemporary Art. This collaboration gives life to the FOMAS Special Prize, a creative challenge inviting artists to interpret the Group’s slogan: “Mastering the Science of Metals.” The theme is the metamorphosis of steel: the journey of matter from hot to cold, from the glowing, fluid pour to the steady, precise surface of the final form. Eligible works must fit a painting/panel format (dimensions ranging from a maximum of 3×2 meters to a minimum of 1.5×1.5 meters), with no restrictions on techniques or materials. The deadline for this project submissions is June 1, 2026. Other opportunities include: the creation of a site-specific work and a €2,000 prize with the Business for Art award offered by Gabe Tenute; an exhibition in Romania at Gallery Studio 76; and a prize dedicated to Sustainability promoted by the Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru.
