New York, NY: SCOPE Art Show's flagship fair wrapped up its 14th edition with

reports of vigorous sales, enthusiastic attendance and prestigious press coverage. Welcoming over 18,000 visitors, SCOPE's Platinum VIP Preview and First View events opened with record attendance.

4,000 VIPs attended SCOPE for a first look at what was an undeniably dynamic exhibition throughout, beginning with a two-part featured project at the entrance by Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic in collaboration with FakeLove. Presented by see.me, SCOPE's longtime partner, Mestrovic's "ATRAMENTUM" was critically acclaimed in The Wall Street Journal and Vice's Creators Project, who described it as a “next-level confessional.” 
Galleries reported strong sales from the start, with Golden Thread Gallery placing 8 works into private collections, also garnering significant coverage of Sinead O'Donnell's performance piece, Headspace: White Cube in The Wall Street Journal.

Breeder Program selection Galerie Koninklijke Villa placed four drawings from Tjibbe Hooghiemstra within the first hour. By the fair's conclusion they had also sold 3 works by Avner Sher to a private collector accompanied by an art advisor, while another Breeder Program selection, Natalie Kates Projects placed works by Mark Pinajian, Curtis William Readel and Victor-John Villanueva into prominent private collections. Featured in The Wall Street JournalArtnet and amongst Grandlife's Top 5 Galleries to Watch, Natalie Kates Projects viewed their success as “a testament to SCOPE's focus on emerging artists.”
Also included in Grandlife's Top 5 Galleries to WatchArt Now NY received tremendous attention for their Banksy piece, which set social media abuzz and was featured in Artnetalong with 11.12 Gallery, who placed a work by Alexander Birulin with the Beijing MoCAfor the museum collection.

Returning galleries Art MûrBarbara Paci Galleria d'Arte Corridor Contemporary,Birch ContemporaryCordeiros GaleriaShirin GalleryThe Flat: Massimo Carasiand Gallery G-77 also reported strong sales, while Thinkspace placed 26 works into private collections in the US, Europe and Asia for total sales of over $70,000. Similarly,Licht Feld placed over $80,000 of works by Marck, Peter Dauphin genannt Muth and Hubert Kretzschmar.
Returning exhibitor Ethan Cohen Fine Arts placed multiple works by Ivory Coast artist Aboudia into prestigous private collections and Hans Alf Gallery placed several works, including one with The Watermill Foundation as well as a commission for artist Christian Lemmerz.

L'Inlassable Galerie sold several pieces by Caroline Corbasson, Reinhard Voss and Daniel Horowitz, and Galleria Ghetta placed works by perennial favorite, Aron Demetz. Similarly, Fuchs Projects sold nine works by Aakash Nihalani, Skewville, Miguel Libarnes and Rafael Fuchs, while sales at Galerie Mark Hachem exceeded $350,000.

Prominently featured in The Wall Street JournalAUREUS Contemporary described SCOPE New York's visitorship as “an all time high - collectors, museums, private clients - real heavy-hitters. In short, SCOPE itself is a main attraction (of Armory Arts Week)”. 
De Buck Gallery placed works by Hans Kotter, ZEVS, FC Sofia and Tom Martin into private collections, while Yellow Peril Gallery, describing SCOPE as “exceptional,” sold 29 ‘Video Prints' by Anne Morgan Spalter to private collections from NYC, Miami, Seattle and Bogota, Colombia, also placing a “Video Table' work by Spalter with the Thoma Collection, along with strong interest from MoCA Jacksonville and NYU Langone Medical Center

Strong Sales were also reported by Krause Gallery, who nearly sold out their booth, as well as Bezepala Brown GalleryConverge GalleryYY GalleryCynthia Corbett Gallery, and Andenken Gallery, who sold 20 works by artist Amanda Marie and sold out inventory from Vinz Feel Free.

Visitors to SCOPE enjoyed complimentary espresso at LavAzza's cafe, while notable attendees such as Mia TylerAndrew Andrew and model Shaun Ross, indulged in champagne and Colombian hot dogs in Los Perros Locos' lounge.
SCOPE's partner BucketFeet announced the winner of their #madetostandout competition, Kelsey Archila from New York, while artists Retna and Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic graced their interactive Art Sticker Wall with a sharpie marker.

Select SCOPE VIPs continued the celebration at THE ONE FIFTY party at Grandlife'sTribeca Grand Hotel. The crowd savored Black and Gold cocktails by Ilegal Mezcal and danced to infectious music by Chelsea Leyland, with DJ's Vikas Sapra and Joshua Menendez. Also featuring a commissioned project by Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic,Grandlife's exhibition and THE ONE FIFTY event were featured in BlackBookGuest of a GuestThe Wild Magazine and Art Nerd New York.
Following this extraordinarily successful New York show, SCOPE is delighted to announce its return to its pioneering location in Klybeckquai for the 8th edition of SCOPE Basel. SCOPE Basel opens to Press and VIP's on Tuesday, June 17 with the Platinum Preview and First View benefits, and will run June 18 - 22, 2014.

It is with tremendous excitement that SCOPE announces its return to the sands of South Beach for SCOPE Miami Beach 2014, December 2-7, 2014. After a stellar 2013 fair which broke all attendance records and boasted the strongest sales and social media response in SCOPE's history, applications for SCOPE Miami Beach will be available onMarch 21, 2014.
