OPEN CALL FOR THE CURATOR OF NARRACJE FESTIVAL | GDANSK, POLAND

Gdansk 2016 and Gdansk City Gallery are looking for an international curator of the fourth edition of “NARRACJE-Installations and Interventions in Public Space” Festival scheduled for November 2012 in Gdansk, Poland.
“Narracje–Interventions and Installations in Public Space” Festival is a presentation of large scale projections on buildings and all kinds of creative, innovative and unusual artistic activities taking place in public space within the Festival map. In 2012 the Festival will explore the area of the real Old Town adjacent to the Main Town, with its separated historical parts: Osiek and Zamczysko, located between the Main Town and the Gdańsk Shipyard, as well as the area of the Shipyard itself.

*Jury/Booth fees are $30/$150 for a single booth, with corner, island, and double 2,3,and 4 available 
 
*Artist amenities include booth sitting, cold water and snacks, complimentary breakfasts, welcome bags and box lunch upon arrival
  
*Gorgeous beachfront setting, with onsite food court for shoppers, convenient parking and free shuttle service;
              
* Free art activities for children and art demonstrations throughout the day

Organized by arts professionals, this not-for-profit juried art festival brings the very best of art and fine craft to Michigan City's lakefront Washington Park each year, attracting over 5000 shoppers from 3 states including Chicago and Michigan's "Harbor Country" communities. A major fundraiser for Lubeznik Center for the Arts, proceeds benefit LCA exhibits, outreach, and education programs.

What:  The Spring 2012 Great Lakes Art Fair

Where:  Suburban Collection Showplace, Novi, MI

Noteworthy:

*Beautifully landscaped Indoor Venue - weather-free!

*Easy move in/move out - drive right up to your booth at scheduled times.  Free, convenient parking.

*Promotion of the event to the art-buying public in TV, newspapers, radio, direct mail, press releases, billboards and social media, including postcards, tickets and coupons provided to the artists for their use.

*Total prizes for artists $900, plus free booth fees for next show.

*Jury/booth fees are $30/$400 for single booth, with corner and multiple booth packages available.  All booths have electricity, 5' of storage and a back drape included in fee.

Celebrating our 7th year, the Art Rapids! fair has grown into one of the summer highlights in our beautiful harbor town.  On the shores of Grand Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan, near galleries, restaurants, and shops, the fair attracts approximately 4000 art-loving visitors.  Live music and a children's art tent complete the scene.  The Art Rapids! organization supports the arts in the community through grants, scholarships, concerts and classes.
