EAST HAMPTON, NY – AUGUST 27, 2012: Variety and the Hamptons International Film Festival will honor the ‘Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch: Breakthrough Performers 2012’ during the 20th Anniversary of the Hamptons International Film Festival.  This list is one of the industry's most anticipated spotlights on new talent.

This year, Variety is traveling to the Hamptons International Film Festival, where those on this prestigious list will take part in a number of activities, seminars and social events over the five-day festival Several of this year’s awards winners are also starring in films appearing at the 2012 Hamptons International Film Festival.

The 2012 ‘Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch: Breakthrough Performers’ are Adam Driver ("Inside Llewyn Davis"), Domhnall Gleeson ("Anna Karenina"), Bella Heathcote ("Not Fade Away"), Dree Hemingway ("Starlet"), Boyd Holbrook ("The Host"), Elyas M'Barek ("Turkish for Beginners"), Scoot McNairy ("Killing Them Softly"), Nate Parker ("Arbitrage"), Imogen Poots ("Knight of Cups") and Alicia Vikander ("Anna Karenina").

Past ‘10 Actors to Watch’ honorees have included Jean Dujardin (“The Artist”), Andrew Garfield (“The Amazing Spiderman”), Ryan Gosling (“Blue Valentine”), Tom Hardy (“The Dark Knight Rises”) Anna Kendrick (“Up In The Air”), and Amy Ryan (“Gone Baby Gone”), among others.

Arte Laguna Prize/ Starting Residences



SETTEMBRE, MESE RICCO DI APPUNTAMENTI
Sono aperte le iscrizioni al Premio Arte Laguna 12.13, e nel frattempo si stanno concretizzando molti dei premi assegnati nella precedente edizione e vogliamo darvene notizia:

dal 3 settembre Simon McGrath sarà al Museo Carlo Zauli di Faenza per la realizzazione del suo progetto in ceramica;
dal 4 settembre Simone Bubbico e Joëlle Allet saranno i residenti del Loft Miramarmi a Vicenza;
il 15 settembre si trasferiranno a Mumbai Dina Goldstein e Michael Rotondi;
è in corso da metà luglio la residenza di Candace Couse presso lo iaab di Basilea.

SEPTEMBER, A MONTH FULL OF EVENTS

Entries are open for Arte Laguna Prize 12.13, and we would like to inform you about the prizes awarded during the previous edition, which are now taking shape:

from September 3rd Simon McGrath will be at
Museo Carlo Zauli in Faenza to carry out his ceramics project;
from September 4th Simone Bubbico and Joëlle Allet will be the resident artists at Loft Miramarmi in Vicenza;
on September 15th Dina Goldstein and Michael Rotondi will leave for Mumbai;
the residency of Candace Couse at iaab in Basel has started in mid July.
