The 2023 Glass House tour season will run from April 17 - December 15, 2023.


Our most concise tour, focusing on The Glass House and its promontory, with a minimum of walking. Available on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Our most popular tour includes The Glass House, Painting Gallery, Sculpture Gallery, outdoor sculpture, and Da Monsta, with a three-quarter mile walk over grass and paths. Available on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.


The Extended Tour affords time to visit Philip Johnson’s Studio, as well as the Glass House, Painting Gallery, Sculpture Gallery, outdoor sculpture, and Da Monsta. This tour includes a one-mile walk on paths and grass. Available on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Explore The Glass House campus at your own pace on days dedicated to self-guided visits to the site. Educators will be available across the site to provide information and answer questions. Visitors on self-guided tour days will have access to the Glass House, Painting Gallery, Sculpture Gallery, Studio, Pavilion in the Pond, Monument to Lincoln Kirstein and both upper and lower landscapes. Available on Sundays, April through October. 

Available for parties greater than 13 people. 
A variety of experiences are offered, including: focus tours, after school tours, and academic tours. Contact us for schedule and pricing.

Private tours are available by appointment and offer an in-depth experience of the site geared toward your specific interests. This tour provides unparalleled access to the buildings, art and design collections, and landscape. Contact us for schedule and pricing.

We offer affordable hotel rates, convenient artist parking, "grab 'n go" breakfasts each morning, boxed lunches, Friday night homemade pizza party, Saturday Artist Award Party, snacks in the Artist Breakroom, cold water and hot coffee, along with 200+ enthusiastic volunteers to take care of any artist need.

Karen Lederer received her BFA in Printmaking and Drawing from Washington University in St. Louis in 2008 and an MFA in Printmaking from Rhode Island School of Design in 2012. She has been an artist in residence at Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, Lower East Side Printshop, and the Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program. Lederer has presented her work in solo exhibitions at Cheymore Gallery, One River School, Guilford College Art Gallery, Tennis Elbow at The Journal Gallery, Grant Wahlquist Gallery, and Field Projects. She has participated in many group exhibitions, most recently at Morgan Lehman Gallery, Deanna Evans Projects, Dinner Gallery, Cristea Roberts Gallery, and Hashimoto Contemporary.

Buds, leafing , and HollyAnn, my blue standard poodle girl enjoying the first snow of the season.
