paintings by Padma Shri K Laxma Goud in the Aura Art Show 2017 to be held at Vadodara from 5-8 October, at the Exhibition Hall, Faculty of Fine Arts, MS University India

www.auraart.in
Art lovers will be delighted to witness rare sculptures and paintings
by Padma Shri K Laxma Goud in the Aura Art Show 2017 to be held at Vadodara
from 5-8 October, at the Exhibition Hall, Faculty of Fine Arts, MS University.

# 501223, Untitled, Bronze, 14.5 x 14 x 7 inches (Edition of 7), Rs 275,000 + GST
This bronze sculpture by K Laxma Goud is a testament to his artistic perception, as there are elements of human forms morphing into animal forms. The artist in his true versatile self creates a surrealistic image in the sculpture leaving the viewer guessing and recognising familiar things.

# 501219, Untitled, Bronze, 11 inches diameter, Rs 175,000 + GST
This bronze carved plate by artist, printmaker and sculptor K Laxma Goud brings to mind the complete 360 degrees of an artist’s true essence. Known for his prints, here the rarity of his bronze plate works are a reminder of the multifaceted veteran as the Lord Ganesha smiles on this artist.

# 3865, Untitled, Water colour on paper, 12 x 12 inches, 1991, Rs 425,000 + GST
The water colour on paper by veteran artist and printmaker K Laxma Goud is a treat for the eyes. His quintessential portrayal of this young girl with simple lines and few tell tale signs of her nature, keeps the mystery and innocence intact in this rare work by the master artist.

# 3860, Untitled, Mix media on paper, 7.5 x 10 inches, 2003, Rs 525,000 + GST
This exquisite work by veteran printmaker K Laxma Goud brings to mind the versatility of the artist as he creates this work in mixed media on paper. The rural women from Telangana are his muses as they go about decorating themselves for an event perhaps. The work exudes a vibrancy and movement, a signature of the artist’s style.

# 3861, Untitled, Etching on paper (Edition 5/10), 5.5 x 11.5 inches, 2006, Rs 100,000 + GST
This beautiful etching by the master printmaker K Laxma Goud is yet another example of his mastery over the print making medium and the dexterity of his drawing which shows up in human and animal forms which are the subjects of his work.

# 3863, Untitled, Etching on paper, 12 x 12 inches (AP ….. Limited Edition of 10), 1978, Rs 180,000 + GST
Most of veteran printmaker and artist K Laxma Goud’s works revolve around the subject of rural life and the lives of the people there. Here in this etching on paper, he brings about an intimate quiet moment of conversation between a man and a woman, in an idyllic and densely foliaged scenario. As if nature were bearing witness to their meeting.
