Every year we produce two juried art shows (Spring and Labor Day Weekend).  Artists in all media are encouraged to apply. These shows feature juried local, regional and national artists' original work. From the pool of artists applying, about 130 artists from all over the US and Canada are invited to exhibit. These artists are selected by a professional jury process in eleven distinct media categories.

Both shows are presented in the indoor, air-conditioned setting of the Greensfelder Recreation Complex at Queeny Park in west St. Louis County. Food and refreshments are available on site, parking for the public and artists is free.  Live music playing during wine tasting and peak attendance.  During Sunday afternoon, an interactive children's art education program encourages families with youngsters to meet and talk with artists and learn about their work.

Dates of Art Stage Singapore 2014 Announced

Dates of Art Stage Singapore 2014 Announced
Lorenzo Rudolf, Founder and Fair Director of Art Stage Singapore, announces today the 2014 edition of Art Stage Singapore will take place from16-19 January (Vernissage on 15 January) at Marina Bay Sands.
Since 2011, Art Stage Singapore has focused on putting Asian, especially Southeast Asian, contemporary art in the relevant context through its international platform. The fair’s unique offerings have won its spurs among gallerists, artists, collectors, curators and art lovers around the globe. For its 2013 edition back in January, Art Stage Singapore welcomed 40,500 people over five days. The quality of art, people and sales opportunities the fair brought together was widely acclaimed by exhibitors, collectors and art professionals.
Lorenzo Rudolf said “Art Stage Singapore has made a great start to the 2013 international art calendar. Moving forward, the fair will not only keep acting as a major force for catalysing the growth of the regional art scenes, but also create a stronger synergy among the key players. For example, we will be introducing an exhibitor committee consisting some of the most inspiring gallerists from the Asia Pacific region. We are very lucky to have Singapore as our base; the country’s excellent infrastructure and vision for the arts have been attracting all sorts of talents to start their ventures here. People come back to our fair for the best quality Asian art as well as the diversified lifestyle of Singapore”.

Re: This sounds like fun : Fountian & The Governors Ball

Governors Ball + Fountain + En Masse = Guaranteed Good Time

(New York, NY) Spring is in full swing and Fountain Art Fair’s exciting programming just keeps coming.  Fountain’s undeniable passion for music and art has always been one of its trademarks, so what better way to celebrate their synergy than by partnering with En Masseand New York’s premiere music festival, Governors Ball!?
On Randalls Island from June 7th – 9th, Fountain will collaborate with Montreal based collectiveEn Masse to create an unforgettable live painting event.  Two massive octagonal structures on the festival’s grounds will be decked out with En Masse’s signature black and white murals.  Artists from around the city and the globe will work alongside the core members to publicly create one of Governors Ball’s greatest immersive art experiences; where street art and music become one.
Featuring such acts as Guns and Roses, Kanye West, Kings of Leon, Bloc Party, Nas and many others, Governors Ball has placed itself at the forefront of the hip-hop, rock and indie pop scene.  Their dedication to the arts has been exemplified by hosting a myriad of major public art installations throughout the festival weekend.
Team Fountain will be on site overseeing the painting process and enjoying all of the revelry that Governors Ball has to offer.  With over 60 acts spanning three days this is certain to be a weekend to remember!
The upcoming WAGMAG Benefit on May 21st will have a distinct Fountain flavor to it again this year, as Fountain is delighted to announce our 2nd annual contest winners. With over 100 submissions Fountain selected 5 artists: Tom Burtonwood, Mayuko Fujino, Daniel Patrick Helmstetter, Melodie Provenzano, and Sophia Sobers to represent our style and attitude at the exhibition. Each artist has graciously donated an original work to help raise funds for one of our favorite not-for-profit publications and represent Fountain at the event. Please keep an eye out on our website as we profile these artists this month. Thanks to all who submitted and don’t be surprised if your work gets a little press too!
Finally, save the date for Bushwick Open Studios on May 31st.  We will be sharing details surrounding  our Support Our Studios program shortly.
