BIAGIO CIVALE
The Multipurpose Building, located in Anthony F. Veteran Park, at 11 Olympic Lane, Ardsley, NY houses program activities for Senior Citizens.
Along the side of the building a rock with a plaque commemorates the lives lost in the September 11 attack on New York. Until the end of August 2010, one can also see, inside the corridors of the building, a painting by Biagio Gino Civale that stresses the smoke coming out of Ground Zero.(See image)
This work is part of a mini one-man exhibition by this Westchester artist, including thirteen paintings, oils, woodcuts and serigraphs. The variety of the subject matter is also reflected in the interest for decoration per se. (as per other image).
Marines, human figures and human activities are also depicted in the other works.
This exhibition is open to the public during the hours of operation of the building. For confirmation of access please call 914 693 8985. The Multipurpose Building is part of the Parks & Recreation Department, Office for the Aging.
Biagio Gino Civale's website is: www.Civale.org
