Hans Peterson Art shares the news Hans placed 1st in the York County Juried art show.

Hans, and Barbara Peterson, celebrate Wired No. 4 was awarded 1st place in the Arts Council of York County 33rd Juried Competition

Greetings to all of you who expressed an interest in Hans’ art during our many art shows.   We hope that everyone enjoyed a happy and healthy summer.  I have exciting news to share with you. Last week Hans’ painting Wired No. 4 was awarded 1st place in the Arts Council of York County 33rd Juried Competition, which was open to artists everywhere 18 or older.  Suffice it to say Hans’ art continues to belie his age.  He was among the few artists who had multiple pieces in the final show.  It was a great night for both of us, and for the record, the color coordination of our outfits to Wired No.4 was not intentional!

Hans is preparing for a monumental solo show in October at the Jennifer Balcos Gallery in Atlanta.  This is the first time upwards of twenty of Hans’ largest paintings will be showcased in a single space.  The dominant theme is the women of Hans’ surreal imagination selected from multiple collections of his work.

While paintings will always be the core business of Hans Petersen Art, we are entering the world of art accessories with the Hygge Collection of high-quality, fashion tote bags featuring Hans’ bodacious original art. Each is custom printed to order with all the essentials of a great tote bag:

·       Lightweight

·       Fully lined

·       Multiple pockets; one zippered and two slide-in

·       Magnetic closure to secure contents

The response at soft launch events earlier this month was overwhelming enthusiasm for the collection, with many being ordered for personal use and gifts.

Visit the shop page at www.hanspetersenart.com to see the entire collection and maybe get a jump on your holiday shopping.  This is a niche business and online sales are exclusively through the website.  We’d love to hear what you think of the Hygge Collectionand ask you to consider sharing it with others who will appreciate Hans’ brand of abstract art.

Warm regards,
Barbara
