Tuesday Evenings in the Cafe October 4, 2011 - April 24, 2012 From doodling at Doodleganza: The Drawing Extravaganza, to chatting it up with Culture Catalysts, to crossing wires between art and technology with Internet Superheroes: Art and Tech, and jamming to Face the Strange: New Music from Chicago and Beyond, the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) Chicago is activating audiences with engaging activities at Tuesday Evenings in the Café. Appropriate for a broad range of ages, these events are designed around familiar themes which introduce the audience to artists and other thought leaders and the ideas which inspire them in an entertaining and informal setting. The events take place on Tuesdays from October 4, 2011 to April 24, 2012, and begin at 6 pm. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase. The MCA is free to Illinois residents on Tuesdays and open until 8 pm.  Doodleganza: The Drawing Extravaganza First Tuesdays of the month Artists from around Chicago lead the audience in whimsical, off-beat drawing related games. The MCA provides the materials and the artists provide the inspiration. The Campus is a life-size picture postcard framed by majestic mountains, lush green lawns, and a lake - a spectacular outdoor gallery extolled by Art Fair SourceBook as "the most stunning festival site in the country." Hosting 230 of the nation's foremost contemporary artists, this four day show attracts an affluent demographic and many wealthy snowbirds who have second homes in the desert. Art sales consistently exceed $2 million each year. The festival runs concurrent with the BNP Paribas Open, an international tennis event, attended by 350,000 of a highly appealing demographic as well as the polo finals - both located a few miles from the festival. Art Basel Miami Beach 2011: Online press accreditation reminder
Art Basel Miami Beach invites all representatives of the media reporting about this year's show to accredit online by November, 14, 2011.
Pre-accredited journalists will have quick and easy access to the 10th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, press materials and the on-site media centre. While it will still be possible to accredit at the on-site media centre, due to the high demand in press accreditation, it is advised to accredit online.
Online application is straight forward and will only take a few minutes:
Step 1: Visit artbasel.com/accreditation and complete the online application form
Step 2: Upload a portrait of yourself (maximum 1024kByte)
Step 3: Upload a proof of eligibility
One of the following credentials is required as proof of eligibility:

• a currently valid press card issued by associations of publishers or journalists
• an official confirmation from the relevant editor’s office or broadcasting station clearly stating that the media representative is working in an editorial/journalistic capacity
• a current masthead/publisher’s imprint, documenting the journalistic activity of the media representative
• a recent article, assigned to the journalist by name ,relevant to Art Basel Miami Beach
• an online masthead/publisher’s imprint or contribution assigned to the journalist by name, relevant to Art Basel Miami Beach

Journalists will be contacted about the status of their application no later than two weeks after their application has been registered.
