For 55 years, the Park Point Community Club has hosted the Park Point Art Fair at the Park Point Recreation Area on the last weekend in June. Park Point is a premier and unique setting, the largest freshwater baymouth bar in the world. The Art Fair includes 110 artists from across the region and nation who exhibit their award-winning work in a festive setting. The community hosts a free appreciation dinner for the artists and volunteers. Volunteers greet attendees, provide booth-sitting services, and offer setup assistance to artists. Artists are awarded for excellence based on an on-site review by art professionals. The Club awards a total of $1,300 to artists in seven categories, as well as a Best of Show. Mission: The Park Point Art Fair showcases professionally juried artists in a stunning natural environment. While the focus is on visual artists, the experience is enhanced by music, demonstrations, and interactive art-making opportunities.  Achievements: The Park Point Art Fair would like to thank the city of Duluth for awarding us 2024, 2025 and 2026 tourism tax dollars, showing its support. A major figure in 20th-century design, renowned for his work in solid wood, he unveils here an exceptional work, previously kept in a private residence in Ibirapuera, Brazil. José Zanine Caldas (1919-2001) Dining Table, 1978 H. 77 x  L. 450 x D. 11 cm © Laffanour | Galerie Downtown HR VISUALS This “Dining Table” is notably distinguished by its top adorned with ceramic tiles, a feature scarcely documented in José Zanine Caldas’s work, giving the piece a remarkable uniqueness. Crafted entirely by hand from hand-sawn sucupira wood and sculpted with traditional tools, the table retains visible traces of manual workmanship. The surface treatment, carried out through sanding and waxing, reveals the wood’s density and depth while highlighting the subtle tension between the massive structure and the delicate ceramic inlay.

In a new profile in The New Yorker, Andy Goldsworthy speaks to Rebecca Mead about the development of his work and his legacy as an artist, from his earliest installations to Gravestones, a poignant new project that will be the artist's "most substantial work on his home terrain." The sheer beauty of some of Goldsworthy’s work—sliced fronds of heron feathers arranged in stark geometries, or a boulder coated in blood-red poppy petals—has sometimes led him to be characterized as a visual version of an exultant nature poet.
