p.14 Interview: Frank Stella, in the heart of Manhattan On the occasion of his exhibition at the Whitney Museum, Frank Stella welcomed us into his studio in the West Village, the district where he has lived since 1967. In this space that also serves as his study and library, where he keeps a few works and presents his models, the artist born in 1936 retraces the golden age of American painting and his ties with Europe.

p.21 Focus: Sotheby's Q4 This Friday, 22nd of January, Sotheby’s revealed its estimate earnings for the last quarter of 2015. Along with disappointing numbers, the auction house also announced an increase in the already existing buyback program, leaving investors with a positive overall impression despite the loss. The exact numbers will be released in the last week of February. The company has been subject to many changes since activist hedge fund manager Dan Loeb claimed control of the board in early 2014. The latest developments included the resignation of CFO Patrick McClymont and the acquisition of Art Agency Partners, presided by Amy Cappellazzo and Allan Schwartzman, in an effort to improve the private sales department.

p.32 Focus: Contemporary art and historic places On 18 January 2016, Art Media Agency’s first dîner-débat of 2016 was held at the Club de la Chasse et de la Nature (Paris). Jean d’Haussonville, managing director of the Domaine National de Chambord since 2010, was invited to speak on the theme: “Contemporary art in historic establishments: a strategy of openness or a concession to time?”
