| SAVE THE DATE OPENING OF MFC-MICHÈLE DIDIER IN PARIS ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2011 mfc-michèle didier focuses since 1987 on the production and on the publication of original works by contemporary artists. Playing the part of an intermediary between the artist and production’s professionals (printing, film industry, etc.), and with the continuing effort to keep intact the original project that the artists trust them, mfc-michèle didier produces artist books, installations, films and videos, thereby providing a genuine and multiplied work. mfc-michèle didier is opening in September a store in Paris, a city where the actors of the art world (institutions and collectors) are particularly sensitive to the discipline of the artist's book. Located at 66 rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth in le Haut-Marais, it will offer the chance to present the publisher’s productions but it will also be a place of reflection on this specific art form. At the same time, it will give the opportunity to show the important role of ephemeras and published & multiplied works in contemporary art. The grand opening will be held on September 10, 2011, with Claude Closky. There will be an exclusive preview of Inside a triangle, an artist's book containing a set of photographs taken around the world - Brazil, Russia, Australia, Iran, etc. – of roads and paths that seem to extend to infinity. Each view is framed very precisely. A road, starting from our feet, occupies exactly the whole bottom edge of the image, while the horizon where it moves towards is placed exactly on the upper edge of the image.
