Paintings, drawings, collage, photography, print-making, ceramics, and sculpture created by the Art League’s members are on display at the League’s Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery starting October 31.

The Member’s Exhibition is divided into two parts in order to accommodate the more than 200 works of art created by student and professional artists vying for top prizes. Part One exhibits October 31 through November 28 and Part Two exhibits December 12 through January 9, 2011. Artist’s receptions at the Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery are scheduled for Sunday, November 7, 3pm – 5pm and Sunday, December 12, 3pm – 5 pm respectively.

Prizes will be awarded by noted artist and educator Winn Rea, a member of the Phoenix Gallery in NYC and an Assistant Professor of Art at the C.W. Post Campus of LIU. She is a process-based environmental artist whose works on paper, sculptures, and installations have been exhibited extensively in South Korea and the United States.

In addition to exhibitions in its beautiful bi-level gallery, the Art League offers a year-round, seven days a week program of classes and one-day workshops in all art forms, including fiber and decorative arts, digital technologies and glass molding, plus tours and lectures.
