Founded in 1913, the Springfield Art Association promotes and supports the advancement of the visual arts, provides educational opportunities for the greater

Springfield area and preserves the historic Edwards Place House and the collections of the Association.  

 

In 2013, the SAA will host its 25th Annual Edwards Place Fine Art Fair! Annually, the Edwards Place Fine Art Fair provides a park-like venue for talented artists from throughout the United States to display and sell their unique works of art.   

  

Built in 1833, Edwards Place was deeded to the SAA in 1913. Today, the SAA serves more than 100,000 people annually through its School of Art, Gallery of Art, Michael

Victor II Art Library and historic Edwards Place, an Italianate mansion on the National Historic Landmark Register.

Celebrating its 18th year, the West End Art Festival is a LaGrange tradition whose purpose is to bring a quality, fine art event to the Village of LaGrange and surrounding communities and highlight the west end business district. Artists from across the country participate in LaGrange's late summer festival that attracts art admirers and patrons each year.

Presented by the LaGrange Business Association and held in cooperation with the Village of LaGrange, the festival is held in the shadow of the landmark Stone Avenue Station along Burlington Avenue between Brainard and Spring Avenues. The charming and historic West End area of LaGrange provides a picture-perfect setting to showcase art. Other highlights include live music, food from local LaGrange restaurants and children's art activities for an event to be enjoyed by all ages.

What to do Next!

Artists can visit www.amdurproductions.com and click "APPLY NOW," then follow the prompts to submit their work electronically through Juried Art Services (JAS).  All applications must be received before midnight on January 11, 2013 for consideration in this season's extraordinary line-up. Late applications accepted through January 18 for an additional fee.  

For thirty years, Amdur Productions, a nationally acclaimed arts festival production company, has organized and directed a selection of the Midwest's most prestigious juried art festivals.  In 2012, Amdur Productions expanded its geographic footprint beyond the Chicagoland area by launching new festivals in New Buffalo, Michigan; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Hallandale Beach, Florida.  Many of Amdur's festivals are rated in Sunshine Artist magazine's top 100 with several appearing in the top 50.
