Faun presents Nicolo Gentile: Coming , Undone Opens Saturday, May 30, 6-9 PM PDT

It is our pleasure to invite you to Faun’s latest exhibition

NICOLO GENTILE

COMING, UNDONE

May 30 – June 27, 2026

Opening Reception

Saturday, May 30, 6 – 9 PM

Faun

546 N Western Avenue  Los Angeles, CA 90004

Coming, Undone brings together sculpture, drawings and suspended works in an installation exploring queer memory through shifting visibility. Steel grates and chain curtains create spaces where bodies briefly appear before slipping from view. Drawing from nightlife and urban space and influenced by Gregg Araki and New Queer Cinema, Nicolo Gentile considers how desire and loss continue to shape queer experience in the present, treating the past not as something fixed or fully knowable but as something carried through atmosphere, image and encounter.

Nicolo Gentile (b. 1991, Ithaca, NY) is an artist and educator based in Philadelphia. He holds an MFA in Sculpture from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University and a BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art.

His work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally at Temple Contemporary and Automat in Philadelphia; Fragment Gallery in New York; LVL3 in Chicago; Portland Contemporary; and SOIL in Seattle, as well as in Paris and Melbourne.

Gentile is a recipient of the Velocity Fund and a forthcoming artist-in-residence at the Tom of Finland Foundation in Los Angeles.

Faun is an art venue and working studio in Los Angeles' Melrose Hill arts corridor, centered on contemporary art and design. Founded by an established cross-disciplinary collective spanning architecture, interior design, branding and creative direction, it serves as both a site of exhibition and creative production, embodying the hybrid spirit of its mythological namesake.

Please join us Saturday, May 30, from 6-9 PM for the opening reception. Experience the exhibition, meet the artist and enjoy a glass of wine. We look forward to seeing you there.
