Untitled Art Miami Beach OPens December 1, Show runs 2-6, 2026

As we look towards our milestone anniversary in Miami Beach, we begin the first newsletter in our series by highlighting galleries joining us across both editions of the fair this year.

Following Untitled Art, Houston next month, 26 galleries will continue on to December, reflecting the relationships, perspectives, and artistic practices that connect our two fairs while giving each edition its own distinct context.

From emerging programs to longstanding exhibitors, these galleries represent a cross-section of the wider Untitled Art community, bringing presentations shaped by different artists, contexts, and conversations to audiences in both cities.

Pauline Guerrier, Robert Sagerman, Murray Clarke, and Quirin Krumbholz

IRL Gallery, New York

Presented by IRL Gallery, the works explore materiality, process, and perception through straw marquetry, textiles, handmade pigments, densely worked paint surfaces, and reflective or kinetic elements. Layered and tactile, they shift between abstraction and representation, stillness and movement, revealing how physical materials can shape both visual experience and meaning while inviting sustained looking and discovery.

Juliana Seraphim, Stella Snead, Manina, and Samira Abbassy

Richard Saltoun Gallery, London / Rome / New York

Richard Saltoun Gallery presents Untamed: Flora, Fauna, and the Female Surreal, bringing together more than a century of artistic practice. Moving between historical Surrealism and contemporary approaches, the presentation considers flora and fauna as conduits for interior knowledge, spirituality, memory, and transformation. Dreamlike landscapes, hybrid figures, and recurring natural motifs are prevalent, and the artists reclaim the natural world as a space of feminine agency and transcendence.

David McGee

Inman Gallery, Houston

McGee draws on art history, literature, popular culture, and the legacies of the American Civil War to examine Black male archetypes, visibility, and how history is constructed and remembered. Exhibited by Inman Gallery, large-scale watercolors and intimately scaled works on paper use symbolic imagery and layered references to transform overlooked or obscured figures into protagonists, tracing the enduring relationship between personal identity, cultural memory, and Black American history.

Alex Puz, Synaptic Modulation, 2026. Image courtesy of PFA Gallery.

Alex Puz

PFA Gallery, Washington, D.C. / Kensington

New work by Puz at PFA Gallery brings together paintings and works on paper that explore the relationship between color, perception, and sensation. Through tightly layered networks of intersecting lines and complementary hues, Puz creates shifting compositions that move between geometric precision and optical instability. Oscillating moiré patterns and chromatic rhythms draw the eye across the surface, transforming the booth into an immersive study of how visual information is processed, felt, and understood.

Nanni Valentini, Gastone Biggi, Filippo Moroni, and Bernardo Liu

ABC-ARTE, Genova / Milan

At ABC-ARTE, layering becomes a way of constructing both image and meaning. In presenting painting, sculpture, textile, and mixed media, the works build surfaces through repetition, accumulation, translucency, and transformation. These stratified compositions hold traces of time, memory, rhythm, and material change, allowing forms to emerge, recede, and shift in perception. The artists consider the surface not as a fixed boundary, but as an active space where histories and materials continuously overlap and evolve.

Julia García, Late Afternoon, 2025. Image courtesy of HAIR+NAILS.

Cameron Patricia Downey and Julia García

HAIR+NAILS, Minneapolis / New York

For HAIR+NAILS, contrast becomes the connective thread. Bringing sculpture and painting into close proximity, the presentation moves between density and openness, precision and spontaneity, material presence and psychological suggestion. Rather than resolving these differences, the works amplify them, creating an atmosphere that feels unsettled, expressive, and alive to the possibilities of how form can carry memory, sensation, and lived experience.

Giuditta Branconi

LUPO Lorenzelli Projects, Milan

In LUPO Lorenzelli Projects' presentation, the garden becomes a site of transformation, where mythology, memory, ornament, and contemporary imagery converge. In a new body of linen paintings by Branconi, figures, flora, and fauna emerge within dense, luminous compositions that move between the sacred and the profane, the cultivated and the wild. Layered with art-historical and decorative references, they resist a fixed reading, instead inviting viewers into an immersive visual world shaped by abundance, ambiguity, and continual discovery.

Ethan Cooke, Untitled. Image Courtesy of NINO MIER GALLERY.

Group Presentation including Liliane Tomasko, Nicola Tyson, Jose Lerma, Ethan Cooke, and Tony Matelli

NINO MIER GALLERY, Brussels / New York

For NINO MIER GALLERY’s presentation, the body and landscape become sites of perceptual slippage. Moving between figuration and abstraction, the works distort scale, orientation, surface, and form to unsettle familiar ways of seeing. Natural phenomena, interior states, and the human figure are reimagined through exaggerated, fragmented, or psychologically charged visual languages, creating a presentation that explores how perception shapes, and often destabilizes, our understanding of the world around us.

Summer Wheat, Horse with Strawberry, 2026. Image Courtesy of Zidoun-Bossuyt Gallery.

Feipel & Bechameil, Kim Dacres, Yashua Klos, Nate Lewis, Khalif Tahir Thompson, Summer Wheat, and YoYo Lander

Zidoun-Bossuyt Gallery, Luxembourg / Dubai / Paris

Across Zidoun-Bossuyt Gallery’s presentation, material becomes a vehicle for storytelling. Through layered surfaces, collage, sculptural relief, cut paper, printmaking, and richly worked paint, the works explore how identity, memory, and collective histories are built, fragmented, and reassembled. Between figuration and abstraction, intimacy and monumentality, the presentation reveals a shared interest in transformation, both of materials themselves and of the personal and cultural narratives they carry.

Kathleen Petyarre, Margaret Loy Pula, and Abie Loy Kemarre

Mitchell Fine Art, Brisbane

Bringing together three generations of women from the same family, the presentation by Mitchell Fine Art traces the continuity of Aboriginal cultural knowledge through painting. Rooted in connections to Country, ceremony, kinship, and inherited stories, the works reveal how artistic practice can carry memory across generations while continuing to evolve in the present. Together, they consider painting as both a visual language and a living form of cultural transmission, linking ancestral knowledge with contemporary expression.

We are looking forward to celebrating with you at events hosted by our Cultural Partners, esteemed local institutions and longstanding community art hubs in Miami. A few highlights include Bakehouse Art Complex's annual Baker's Brunch: Open Studios + Cafecito on Thursday December 1st. Start your morning with complimentary coffee while seeing work inside their artists' studios and exploring exhibitions in the surrounding campus. After visiting Untitled Art during the day, head to the opening reception for Didier William: Nou Kite Tout Sa Dèyè, curated by Erika Moiah James at the The Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami. Translated as “We’ve Left That All Behind,” the exhibition presents an in-depth look at the North Miami-raised artist’s career through paintings, drawings and a newly commissioned, monumental sculpture.

Additionally, the De la Cruz Collection is hosting open hours Tuesday 11/29 - Saturday 12/3 from 9:30-4:30pm for a chance to see their exhibition Together, at the Same Time. “We started collecting contemporary art when we moved with our children to Miami from Madrid in 1975 - at first, the art works were of Latin American artists. You can see in this year’s exhibition works by Rufino Tamayo, Wifredo Lam, Carlos Alfonzo and Ana Mendieta among others..." — excerpt of a quote from Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz, 2022.

And make sure to bookmark a visit to El Espacio 23's notable exhibition YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE: Recent Acquisitions of Cuban Art from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection— This exhibition highlights works acquired since 2017 as part of an ongoing investigation and interest in Cuban and Cuban diaspora art. Rather than a historical survey of the history of Cuban art, the thematic exhibition brings together over 100 artists of different generations who share collective experiences yet take a very personal approach to their practice. Work by Miami-based artist Ema Ri, who is also included in this exhibition, will be on view at Untitled Art this year as part of our Special Projects section. Read more on our website.

VIP & Press Preview
Monday, November 28, 1-8pm (by invitation only)

Untitled Art is located on Miami Beach at Ocean Dr. & 12th St.

This year marks our most international presentation to date, focusing on collaboration across the greater art community. New to the 11th edition are exhibitor Prizes, supported by our Premier Prize Partners to establish opportunities for collaboration and support of the larger art ecosystem beyond the fair itself: The Nest Prize by Vortic, 21c Museum Hotels Acquisition Prize, Colección Solo Acquisition PrizeCCA Andratx Artist-in-Residence PrizeLast Resort Artist Retreat Residency Prize, Pébéo Production Prize, and the Fountainhead Residency Prize.

Our curatorial platform has expanded this year, spearheaded by Artistic Director Omar López-Chahoud in support of the wider arts ecosystem – both globally and locally in Miami. Selected artists, galleries, and non-profits will tackle topics from the environment, to race and diversity, to artificial intelligence in an effort to celebrate new and underrepresented voices. Monuments, located west of the sand dunes on Miami Beach, features a selection of artworks open to the public. Presenting elements of the fair outside allows participating galleries and artists to interact with the city of Miami Beach and visitors in a wider capacity. In addition, various Special Projects will be presented throughout the fair that call attention to key issues and new artistic voices. Highlights this year include:
  • For Freedoms’ For Freedoms News (FFN) following its premier at the Brooklyn Museum (October 28 - November 6, 2022), this artist-led project seeks to generate broader civic engagement in advance of the 2022 midterm elections. For Untitled Art, the installation and performance will consist of an interview area and news set in parallel with a performance of roving “reporters on the street.”

  • In celebration of the longstanding tradition of Untitled Art working with artists to activate the VIP Lounge, visitors this year will find an installation and group exhibition presented by BEVERLY’S, an artist-run exhibition and service industry platform founded in 2012 in the Lower East Side / Chinatown neighborhood of Lower Manhattan.

  • Artist Rachel Garrard will construct a temporary installation of large rusted steel sculptures seemingly emerging from Miami Beach in reference of ancient traditions. Titled Pathways Beyond Time, (2022) and presented by Colector, this work is a continuation of Garrard’s site-specific, transitory installations that use nature as their medium.

  • Val del Omar’s Por aquí ya no hay camino, (There’s no path here anymore), (circa 1961) is one of the first sound work installations presented as a Special Project at Untitled Art and will feature a collection of sounds from the artist’s lab, which he called PLAT (Picto Lumínica Audio Tactil) comprising of recordings from his movies, radio recordings, family conversations and reflections. Presented by Max Estrella.

  • Courtesy of the Jorge M. Pérez Collection, Miami, and El Espacio 23, Ema Ri’s Language is leaving me, (2021) will materially possess the walls to expose organic patterns, shapes, and the extensive representations of life through excised paint, and plaster, coming alive from the inside out. A second-generation Cuban-American and queer artist, Ri’s practice contemplates the unseen relationships, communions, and felt impressions that everything and everyone experiences.

  • Shango | Digital Throne (2022) by Yelaine Rodriguez and presented by Auttrianna Projects is the third iteration of the conceptual artist’s immersive altars as a site-specific installation of video, photography, sculpture, and fiber work. In collaboration with Mare Residency Founder Auttrianna Ward, this version will incorporate digital offerings to Shango from Afro-Diasporic artists working within video art: biarritzzz and Taína Cruz. This project will inaugurate with a live performance by Kaila Paulino. Programming by Auttrianna Projects is sponsored by: Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD), The55project, The Last Resort Artist Retreat, and Kalpa Art Advisory.

Live performances will also accompany the fair. Highlights include Studio Lenca’s improvised movement piece Performance (2022) where the artist will distribute wooden arrows to the audience as a metaphor for the barriers and obstacles encountered by his community in El Salvador. This work is further contextualized within the artist’s Special Project at the fair of large-scale paintings and sculptures that explore an estranged cultural heritage and universal themes of identity— Ni de aquí, ni de allá (Not from here, not from there) (2022) presented by Y.ES Contemporary. In addition, Titling the Untitled: An Interview Series (2022) presented by The Locker Roomproposes a series of interviews in the “man-on-the-street” style hosted by artist Catherine Candor. In these interviews with the Untitled Art founder, team, staff, galleries, and attendees, Candor will ask a few questions that will be released via Instagram November 28th, 29th, and December 1st, 2022.

The Untitled Art Podcast also returns for a third year to serve an expanded audience. New this year are two dedicated days hosted by the fair's Programming Partners, Her Clique and [NAME], alongside additional conversations and panel discussions that expand on the presentations of the fair’s 2022 exhibitors.
