E... PER GLI ARTISTI UNDER 25 AND... FOR UNDER 25 ARTISTS Al Premio Arte Laguna le opportunità sono doppie per gli artisti fino ai 25 anni d'età (incluso l'anno 1987). At Arte Laguna Prize opportunities double for artists up to 25 years of age (birth year1987 included). Oltre alla collettiva presso l'Arsenale di Venezia, potranno essere selezionati anche per la collettiva presso l'Istituto Romeno situato nella calle più frequentata della città. In addition to the collective exhibition at Venice Arsenale, they will also have the chance to be selected for the collective exhibition at the Romanian Institute located in the most crowded street of the city. Un altro vantaggio sono le quote di partecipazione ridotte a 45 euro per un'opera e a 80 euro per 2 opere candidate alla stessa sezione. Another advantage is the application fee, reduced to 45 Euros for one work and to 80 Euros for two works submitted in the same section. Iscrizioni aperte fino all' 8 Novembre 2012, ma per partecipare anche alla selezione delle residenze d'arte le candidature devono pervenire entro il 23 Ottobre 2012. 6^th International Arte Laguna Prize

Until the 11th of November 2011 contemporary visual artists from all over the world can apply to the 6th International ARTE LAGUNA PRIZE, divided into 5 sections: painting, sculpture, photographic art, videoart and performance, and the brand new virtual art, dedicated to artworks entirely created using pc softwares and smartphones apps. Topics and techniques can be chosen freely.

Since 2006 the Arte Laguna Prize is focused on supporting emerging and already well-known artists and, thanks to collaborations with local and international partners, it is able to give them a network of opportunities.

The opportunities for the artists of this edition:

5 money Prizes of 7.000,00 EUR for the winner artists, one for each section

6 Art Residencies:  Loft Miramarmi - Italy, Carlo Zauli Museum - Italy, Glass School Abate Zanetti - Venice, Art Stays - Slovenia, iaab – Basel, Technymon India ARTresidency – India

2 Business for Art: STILE Original Design offers a money prize of  8.000,00 EUR and will develop an art project with the selected artist and another project will develop with the jewelery company FOPE of Vicenza

2 International Festivals: participation in Open in Venice and Tina B in Prague

26 Personal Exhibitions in International Art Galleries
The Prize Arte Laguna has created a network of international galleries to introduce the artists to the market of Contemporary Art. Each gallery will select an artist for creating a solo exhibition

Furthermore, a collective exhibition at the Arsenale of Venice will be set up for the 110 finalists, chosen by theinternational jurors:
Igor Zanti - Art Critic and the Arte Laguna Prize's curator, Alessio Antoniolli - Director Gasworks of London; Chiara Barbieri - Publications Director, Peggy Guggenheim Collection; Gabriella Belli - Director MART of Trento and Rovereto; Ilaria Bonacossa - Freelance Curator; Soledad Gutierrez - Curator at MACBA Barcelona; Kanchi Metha - Curator Indian Pavillon Prague Biennale; Ludovico Pratesi - Director Centro Arti Visive Pescheria of Pesaro; Maria Savarese - Freelance Curator; Ralf Schmitt - Director Preview Berlin; Alma Zevi - Art Critic.

During the years, the winners of the Arte Laguna Prize had exhibitions in Venice, Wien, Prague and more than 20.000 viewers visited their shows.

6th edition of INTERNATIONAL ARTE LAGUNA PRIZE
CALLS ARTISTS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD TO VENICE

 

Total amount of the prize: 170,000 EUR

Collective Exhibitions: The jury will select 110 finalists who will show their artworks at the Arsenale of Venice in March 2012. Another collective exhibition, dedicated to artists under 25, will take place at the Institute of Romanian Culture of Venice.
The winning artworks will remain property of the artists and will be collected in a bilingual catalogue
