Extensive Broadcast Coverage Planned For Hampton Classic Horse Show

USEF Network and HRTV to Webcast $50,000 USHJA Hunter Derby and $250,000 FTI Grand Prix
WVVH-TV and ShowNet.com to Present Live Coverage Each Day

Bridgehampton, NY—August 22, 2012—For those who can’t make it to the 2012 Hampton Classic to see its world-class horse show competition in person, there will be extensive opportunities to watch the excitement of this year’s horse show on television and online.
The 37th annual Hampton Classic Horse Show returns to Bridgehampton, NY, August 26–September 2.  Those wishing to watch competition will be able to do so through several outlets.

  • WVVH-TV, the official Long Island television station of the Hampton Classic, will broadcast live competition and highlights each day during the Classic.  These broadcasts can also be seen online at www.wvvh.tv.
  • ShowNet will webcast all classes held in the Grand Prix Ring live throughout the entire horse show.  Access to this pay-per-view stream may be found on the Hampton Classic website at www.hamptonclassic.com, or via ShowNet membership at www.ShowNet.biz.  In addition, most of the Classic’s jumper and hunter classes from all other rings will also be available, many live, through ShowNet at www.ShowNet.biz.
  • Two additional outlets, the USEF Network.com, Presented by SmartPak, and HRTV, The Network for Horse Sports, will both offer free live webcasts of the Classic’s featured events on its two Sundays—the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, presented by MeadowView Farms, on Sunday, August 26 and the $250,000 FTI Grand Prix and FEI World Cup™ Qualifier on Sunday, September 2.

“We are thrilled to announce expanded broadcast coverage of this year’s Hampton Classic,” said Shanette Cohen, Executive Director of the Hampton Classic. “In addition to our traditional coverage on WVVH-TV, we will have most classes from all our show rings available online through ShowNet plus two featured live class webcasts on both the USEF Network and HRTV.  Access to Hampton Classic competition has never been greater!”
For those who want to watch all the excitement of Opening Day’s $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby and Grand Prix Sunday’s $250,000 FTI Grand Prix and FEI World Cup™ Qualifier, the USEF Network, Presented by SmartPak, and HRTV, The Network for Horse Sports, will be featuring these events as part of their equestrian coverage.  The Hunter Derby on Sunday, August 26 at 1:30 pm, features some of the nation’s best hunter horses and riders and the $250,000 FTI Grand Prix on Sunday, September 2 at 2:00 pm, features some of the world’s best show jumping horses and riders including riders just back from the London Olympic Games.
In addition to providing online coverage of most of the classes in the Classic’s six show rings, ShowNet will be providing the camera shots and video coverage for the Hunter Derby and Grand Prix webcasts on USEF Network.com and HRTV.
ShowNet LLC provides real-time equestrian event management, updates and results as well as live video webcasts of competition at several horse shows throughout the year.  Information on all of ShowNet’s services is available at www.ShowNet.biz.
