Herman's' House, 40 Years in Solitary What Would You dream of? Premiere July 8th

    Herman's House - Herman Wallace's Health Update <!--[if gte mso 6]> <![endif]

    Trailer
    Dear Friends,
We are sad to share with you the news that Herman Wallace was very recently diagnosed with liver cancer.  Our director Angad was fortunate to be able to visit with Herman this past weekend and wrote the following:

"After I heard of Herman's health condition, I can't begin to explain the feelings that began to run through my heart: despair, anger, confusion, to name a few.  Mostly I realized that I just needed to see him.  My visit took place in the infirmary where Herman is still being isolated from other prisoners, but at least he is no longer being held in his tiny cell.  He had lost about fifty pounds since I last saw him in March, and for the first time the man who had always embodied strength and vitality to me looked more like his actual age of 71.  We were both cautious in talking about his liver condition, as additional tests will be happening to determine his prognosis and possible treatment options.  Most importantly he did not want this development to distract people from the injustice that has been done to him and the thousands of others in solitary confinement.  One of the correctional officers said he would try to allow Herman to watch the film on POV on July 8th. So when you tune in, know that he may be watching it with you."

We will continue to share developments with you and ask that keep Herman in your thoughts at this time.  If you would like more information, you can read the recent post on the Solitary Watch website.
