As you prepare your visit, we are in touch with further features highlighting this year's expanded program. Our curated sector of Special Projects this year calls attention to new artistic voices while highlighting the art historical narratives that have shaped our contemporary moment.

As Programming Partner, the artist-led organization For Freedoms presents four limited edition prints for sale by April Bey, Petra Cortright, Christine Sun Kim, and Hana Ward, as a Special Project in The Untitled Art Podcast Lounge. Each of these artists have collaborated with For Freedoms on past public campaigns to make a positive impact on the communities we share. Explore the editions on their website.

We are delighted to spotlight Awilda Sterling-Duprey’s Blindfolded works which will be activated via a performance by the artist on Wednesday, December 6 at 11:30am(P4 on your Fair Guide), presented by El Kilómetro (San Juan, Puerto Rico). Performed previously at the Whitney Biennial 2022, this work is part of a series where the artist blindfolds herself and makes abstract markings in response to salsa and/or jazz improvisation.

Additional Special Projects of note include Luis Ortiz Monasterio X Marea (2022) presented by Ediciones Marea, an exceptional collection of limited edition pieces marking the first-ever presentation of these works by sculptor Luis Ortiz Monasteriooutside of Mexico. bitforms (New York, NY) presents Early Plotter Drawings (circa 1970) by German artist Manfred Mohr featuring a selection of his earliest computer-generated drawings and showcases his first implementation of the hypercube through the seminal video work, Cubic Limit (1973-74). Presented by Henrique Faria (New York, NY), a site-specific installation by artist Gerd Leufert entitled NENIAS(1969/2023) fuses ancestral cosmogonies with contemporary figures that transcend the diverse currents of anthropological and indigenist thought. Zielinsky (Barcelona, Spain / São Paulo, Brazil) showcases Brazilian artist Vera Chaves Barcellos Epidermic Scapes, recently acquired by Museo Reina Sofía, which features a series of images of the artist’s skin, and of other people, enlarged to abstraction.

We are also thrilled to welcome strong solo and two-person presentations by over 70 of this year's exhibitors. Read coverage of this year's curatorial focuses on Artnet. Highlights include:

Negrón Pizarro (San Juan, Puerto Rico) at Booth B56 titles the gallery's solo presentation with artist Leo Castañeda Embodiments, highlighting ten years of Castañeda’s practice of fusing traditional fine art methods with gaming software to expand Latin American Surrealism for the digital age.

LAMB Gallery (London, United Kingdom / São Paulo, Brazil) at Booth A67 presents a solo booth featuring Franco-Brazilian collaborative artist duo avaf (assumed vivid astro focus) for an immersive installation that creates a warped nightclub atmosphere offering a playful take on our detached reality.

Gallery 1957 (Accra, Ghana / London, United Kingdom) at Booth B33 showcases new works produced specifically for the fair by painter Tiffanie Delune. This solo presentation brings together dreamlike apparitions and travel memories with symbols of the artist’s diverse family background, also touching on femininity and spirituality.

Jonathan Carver Moore (San Francisco, CA) at Booth C4 presents a dual presentation of works by Kacy Jung and Namita Paul, Asian American artists whose works are inspired by their experiences as immigrant women living in the United States.

Althuis Hofland Fine Arts (Amsterdam, Netherlands) at Booth A21 (Nest) showcases a dual presentation of works by UK-based painter Plum Cloutman and Japanese painter and sculptor Masao Nakahara. Both visual artists seek an understanding of personal history within their fantasy-driven, occasionally absurdist mise-en-scenes.

Untitled Art, Miami 2022 exhibitors list!

We are thrilled to announce that the Exhibitor list is now live on our website and featured on ArtNews. Please see the full list below and click here to explore over 140 participating galleries and non-profits from 31 countries. Untitled Art Miami Beach will take place from Tuesday, November 29 to Saturday, December 3, with a VIP & Press Preview on Monday, November 28.

The fair will return this year with compelling booth presentations, site-specific installations, and performances as part of an expanded curatorial platform spearheaded by our Artistic Director, Omar López-Chahoud.

Untitled Art’s Founder and Director Jeffrey Lawson says: “For this year’s edition of Untitled Art, we are looking to stage an ambitious and forward-thinking presentation that reconsiders the role of an art fair in today’s cultural landscape. In response to the growing commercialization of the art world, we are prioritizing collaboration, inclusivity, and providing space for collectors, art historians, curators, writers, and academics to interact, learn, and discover. We are excited to return with our strongest and most international program yet.”

Highlights include—

  • Our ‘Nest’ sector will return for its second year to provide subsidized booths to 20 young and emerging galleries and non-profits. This year we’re pleased to partner with Vortic as our Digital Partner to create 3D and VR experiences as an extension of ‘Nest’ as well as sponsor the fair’s ‘Nest Prize.’

  • In celebration of our commitment to Miami, we are pleased to continue highlighting leading Miami-based galleries and non-profit organizations as well as our longstanding cultural partnerships with local institutions.

  • Continuing to provide a platform to non-profit organizations including Chicago-based Arts of Life/Circle Contemporary and Florida-based Long Road Projects. We are also partnering with Her Clique who will release three editions by 2022 women-identifying exhibiting artists and donate the proceeds to charity.

  • A new annual initiative to select one participating gallery to present a solo booth highlighting the work of an older or deceased artist who has made a significant contribution to contemporary art discourse: Galerie Christian Lethert (Cologne, Germany) showing the work of 82-year-old artist Imi Knoebel.

  • The reignition of our ‘writers-in-residence’ program to support the crucial advancement of art criticism while cultivating the next generation of writers.
