C 24 Gallery, End of year review!

 END OF YEAR PREVIEW

(L to R) Abi Salami, Micha Serraf

Dear C24 Gallery Community,

As we round out the year, we are ending on a note of gratitude for all our loyal friends, colleagues, collectors, and engaging visitors, the growing fellowship of our neighboring galleries and other local businesses, and the diverse group of artists who make up our unique roster.

Our next exhibition opening in January 2023 will feature two African artists whose journeys from their home countries have opened doors to the exploration of identity and placemaking.

New work in progress by Abi Salami

Abi Salami’s bold and suggestive paintings are an unapologetic response to the patriarchal objectification of Black women, influenced by her move from Nigeria to Dallas, Texas at the age of ten, and brought to new levels of raw grittiness by her recent relocation to New York City.

New work by Micha Serraf

Micha Serraf, whose family was forced to migrate from Zimbabwe to South Africa when he was just nine years old, has created a body of embroidered tapestries that conjure a state of simultaneous presence and displacement, informed by his refugee experience, his mixed racial identity, and his connection to the rich landscape of his new home.

More information coming soon...

Our last day of business before the holiday break will be this Friday, December 23rd. The Gallery will then be closed to the public until our next exhibition opens on Thursday evening, January 12th.

We wish you all a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Warm regards,
The C24 Gallery Team
