John E. Coraor Ph.D, started his career as a museum educator at Cornell University’s H.F. Johnson Museum of Art in 1977. He eventually moved into museum administration as Executive Director of the Tempe Arts Center (AZ) and subsequently of The Heckscher Museum of Art, before serving as Director of Cultural Affairs for the Town of Huntington. Along the way he has also held a variety of volunteer leadership positions, including Chairman of the Suffolk County Cultural Affairs Citizens Advisory Board, President of the Long Island North Shore Heritage Area, and Trustee of The Heckscher Museum of Art, where he has volunteered as its Interim Executive Director while the Museum conducts a nationwide search for a new CEO. |

Beth Levinthal Harry & Sandy Chapin Legacy Award
Beth E. Levinthal has a core commitment to the essential role of the arts to educate and engage individuals across cultures and the lifespan. Her award-winning professional career includes more than 35 years as an educator and as Executive Director of the Heckscher Museum of Art (2001-2006) and the Hofstra University Museum (2006 -2017). Prizing service, Beth is a peer reviewer for AAM and IMLS and has served on boards including HAC, LIAA, MANY, and MAAM. |
| Marc Courtade Harry & Sandy Chapin Legacy Award
Marc Courtade is an arts administrator with over 30 years’ experience in leadership roles. He recently retired as Executive Director at Huntington Arts Council, with previous positions at LIU/Tilles Centre, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, and New York City Opera. Marc holds an MS from the New School for Social Research, with a specialization in Non-Profit Management. He continues as an active speaker in the arts and teacher for the Sato Lecture Series, specializing in Opera, Broadway Musicals and Great Performers. |
| Dr. Kay Hutchins Sato Harry & Sandy Chapin Legacy Award
Dr. Kay Hutchins Sato is a 30-year resident of Northport Village and a life-long educator/arts advocate. She earned her doctoral degree in 1985 and then taught English at the college level for several years, later moving into administration as an assistant provost. She now serves as Executive Director of a not-for-profit adult enrichment series which teach-es the liberal arts at Nassau County Museum of Art. Kay is also immediate past-president of the Huntington Arts Council. |

About Huntington Arts Council Now celebrating our 58th year, the Huntington Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization which enriches the quality of life of Long Islanders with programs and services that address the needs and interests of artists, cultural organizations and the community. The Council's programs reach over one million Long Island residents, and it serves the entire region with its cultural listings at www.huntingtonarts.org. The Huntington Arts Council has been designated a "Primary Institution" by the New York State Council on the Arts, a title meaning "vital to the cultural life of New York State." The Council is the official arts coordinating agency for the Town of Huntington, and serves as the primary regranting agency on Long Island for the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), in addition to its services to over 600 member cultural organizations and individual artist members. Programs are made possible in part by funding from the New York State Council on the Arts, the Town of Huntington, the Suffolk County Department of Cultural Affairs, the County of Suffolk, corporations, foundations and individuals. |
