The beautiful AES Power Plant in Redondo Beach
Please join us at the historic AES Power Plant in Redondo Beach on July 31st for the opening reception of CA 101 2015CA 101 2015 is an exhibition offering artists the opportunity to showcase their work in the unique location of the dynamic and vibrant space of the Industrial Cathedral.  CA 101 2015 is proud to feature major installations throughout the space along with works in oil, watercolor, mixed media, photography, video and more.

CA 101 2015 is produced by the Friends of Redondo Beach Arts (FRBA), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the arts in Redondo Beach.  Today, thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, city officials and the community at large, Redondo Beach has become the center for the arts in the South Bay.

CA 101 2015 will be held for two consecutive weekends, July 31-August 2 andAugust 7-9. Opening night will be held Friday July 31 from 7-10pm.  This is the fourth year for the CA 101 art exhibition with Nina Zak Laddon serving as Juror/Curator and Sandra Liljenwall as Exhibition Director for the show.

The CA 101 2015 event is an unparalleled venue for artists to exhibit their work. The AES dormant steam station has a soaring ceiling, large expanse of windows facing the Pacific Ocean, open space and unique backdrop of the original machinery. It is the size of a football field with brick red floors and mint green turbines.

Last year, the CA 101 2014 was pleased to have over 125 artists exhibiting, representing 40 cities throughout California and approximately 5000 visitors.
