Born in Argentina, the designer Octavio Amado is known worldwide for his creations and installations of a stongly suggestive character. A painter and a sculptor in origin, Octavio Amado sees light as a primary source of confort, pleasure and a causer of sensations. Aware to new technologies, he creates objects of double function: useful but also a work of art with a contemporary, industrial and nomad constitution. Octavio thinks that the relation between the object and its user is a fundamental element, so modularity is a constant theme in his creations. Nowadays, he designs collections for his own label and increasingly for other companies. He also develops installations all around the world in close collaboration with architects for the hotel industry, luxury items and public buildings. |
