The TBA Programs Publication Part OneThis is Not An Archive is the first chapter of an iterative digital publication produced and edited by Toronto Biennial of Art Programs. Launching October 29, it brings together the voices and process-based methodologies of past and present contributors, and traces ever-changing networks of relationships between practices, ideas, and questions shaping Biennial Programs over time.

How Do We Experience Art? Online Launch: A workshop with Fan Wu.

How can we facilitate unusual or experimental experiences of art in gallery spaces? To celebrate the online launch of This is Not An Archive, contributor Fan Wu will lead an interactive, pedagogical workshop over Zoom, in which he shares a number of methods he developed in relation to sites and works within the 2019 edition of the Biennial. Within the workshop, you will be invited to collectively brainstorm and practice alternative forms of thinking-feeling with art through a series of exercises.

METAMORPHOSIS, a solo show by Mantra in the GGA Gallery inside the Wynwood Walls. It opens on Tuesday, October 12, 2021- 6-9PM.

Greetings from inside the Wynwood Walls,

I'm thrilled to announce the opening of METAMORPHOSIS, a solo show by Mantra in the GGA Gallery inside the Wynwood Walls. It opens on Tuesday, October 12, 2021- 6-9PM. This will be Mantra's first solo exhibition and the paintings are exquisite.

These works by MANTRA are breathtakingly beautiful and scientifically accurate to the smallest detail. Note that the works of art in the show are all 2 dimensional, only acrylic on canvas. The shadows and frames / cases are all painted. The effect he creates is unbelievable.

If you will not be in Miami, I'd be happy to share the catalogue of available paintings with you. Please respond to this email. Some of the works are already sold and will be denonated in the catalogue. but respond directly to this email to view the catalogue.

Your invitation to the opening of the exhibition is embedded above. Simply go to museum.thewynwoodwalls.com to register for your complimentary tickets. I hope to see you there. I will also be part of a talk with the artist, Mantra, at 8pm during the event. It's going to be a beautiful night.

I'm delighted to reveal this show to the world. It's has been such a pleasure to bring Mantra's work to the GGA Gallery. Mantra is just getting started.

With Grattitude,

PT

NEW YORK – 7 OCTOBER 2021 – Phillips is pleased to announce the first highlight of the New York Evening Sale of 20th Century & Contemporary Art – Georgia O’Keeffe’s Crab’s Claw Ginger Hawaii, a seminal work from her Hawaii series with exceptional provenance.  The sale on 17 November marks the first time the painting is coming to auction, having first been owned by The Dole Pineapple Company for 40 years, before being acquired by Thurston Twigg-Smith in 1987, a prominent, fifth-generation Hawaiian known for his philanthropy and contributions to the arts.  Crab’s Claw Ginger Hawaii is the most significant of O’Keeffe’s Hawaii pictures to appear at auction in three decades and the first to be offered in a Phillips Evening Sale of 20th Century & Contemporary Art.

Elizabeth Goldberg, Senior International Specialist, American Art and Deputy Chairwoman, Americas, said, “Georgia O’Keeffe’s experience in Hawaii inspired some of the most fascinating and visually striking works in her oeuvre. Of the approximately twenty paintings O’Keeffe created during her time in Hawaii, fourteen are in museum collections.  We are thrilled to offer Crab’s Claw Ginger Hawaii in our New York Evening sale, presenting collectors with the rare opportunity to acquire an important work by this iconic artist. With a storied provenance and a remarkable place in the art historical canon, we loo
