Parrish Road Show featuring the work of Candace Hill Montgomery
Now in its eighth year, the Parrish Road Show is the Museum’s annual creative off-site cultural engagement program. Every year, East End artists are invited to create new work for temporary projects and engage residents in their process. In an effort to deeply connect art and creativity to everyday life, the exhibitions take place at public sites across the region—cultural and historical organizations, public parks and highways, and community centers—and the artists offer public talks and artmaking workshops for children and adults.

The Glass House, to Celebrate 70 years in New Canaan Conn. June 8th. 2019
THE GLASS HOUSE ANNOUNCES 70TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
AT ANNUAL SUMMER PARTY JUNE 8, 2019
French High Wire Artist Philippe Petit to Perform Aerial Surprise at 2:00 PM
The Glass House announces its annual Summer Party to celebrate our 70th anniversary year with a dynamic program of performance, exhibition and auction to benefit the iconic Philip Johnson designed house (built in 1949) and 49-acre site. The site will be activated by French high wire artist Philippe Petit for a site-specific aerial walk.
"The Glass House, since its opening 70 years ago (we are the same age), has had many, many visitors: but all used the door to come in!" states Petit. "I wish to change that: I will enter through the sky-and offer as a birthday celebration to this iconic building- an AERIAL SURPRISE!"
The 70th Anniversary celebration will also feature a performance by the Harlem based drumline and danceline crew, The Marching Cobras. We invite guests to celebrate with us, recline in the grass and wander the sprawling grounds. Guests are encouraged to explore the property from every angle, one can visit our art galleries showcasing our newest exhibition, Gay Gatherings: Philip Johnson, David Whitney and the Modern Arts or Summer Party artist, Adam McEwen's artwork, Chocked Rim, 2019, will be displayed in the Glass House. This graphite rim is the skull beneath the hubcap: a purely functional object which must be hidden. Additionally, Adam McEwen has created a limited-edition graphite sculpture to further benefit this significant milestone in our history. The work, entitled Hubcap, is a machined graphite version of the hubcap of a late 1950s Mercedes Gullwing coupe, a car which Philip Johnson drove.
Guests will also have the opportunity to experience through virtual reality technology a simulation of the restored interior of the Brick House. The Brick House currently remains closed and requires much needed restoration.
Tickets include a farm-to-table picnic by South End, rosé from Whispering Angel and artisanal cocktails. Enjoy a game of ping-pong or challenge a friend to a game of oversized chess. The day's picnic along with the event's festivities benefits preservation initiatives at the Glass House.
The Summer Party benefit auction, powered by Paddle8, provides the unique opportunity for discovering and collecting art from a curated selection of important artists including Josef Albers, Lynn Davis, Mary Heilmann, Maira Kalman, Alex Katz, Claes Oldenburg, Richard Prince, Herb Ritts, Cindy Sherman, and Lawrence Weiner as well as luxury trip packages and experiences.
The Summer Party is generously supported by Chelsfield, Hunter Douglas, and SRI Fine Art Services.
Media sponsorship is provided by Cultured and Serendipity.

Dusty Boynton What's Normal, 2009. Mixed media on paper, 36 x 44 inches |
________________________________________________________
Denise Bibro Fine Art, 529 West 20 Street, Chelsea, NYC, is pleased to announce Dusty Boynton's solo exhibition, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS.
This exhibition is comprised of primarily abstracted figurative compositions in oil on canvas and mixed media on paper. This survey of works created within the last decade highlights Boynton's most successful oeuvre of interpretive realism.
Boynton's modius operandi... her spontaneous and organic way of painting... successfully creates narratives that evoke emotional dialogues of the human condition. Her works provide a broad range of emotions; from the whimsical to the mysterious, the dark to the elated, and the proactive to the contemplative.
Dusty Boynton has had numerous solo and group exhibitions, not only at Denise Bibro Fine Art, but she has also had various shows at Museums and Cultural Institutions including the Delaware Contemporary Art Museum, Wilmington, DE; The Burlington Art Center, Burlington, VT; and The Helen Day Art Center, Stowe, VT. Boynton has been featured and exhibited at international art fairs such as Art Miami, Art Context, Houston Art Fair, and Art South Hampton to name a few. Boynton's work is also in numerous private and public collections and has been featured in the movie Remember Me with Robert Pattinson.
There will be an upcoming solo exhibition of Boynton's work at The Bennington Museum, Bennington, VT.
Boynton has had reviews in numerous publications including;
Architectural Digest, Art Forum, ArtNews, Art in America, The New York Times, Arts Magazine, New Art Examiner, and
The Wall Street Journal, among others.
