Come see great works of American art on digital billboards in Times Square as Art Everywhere US, a nationwide celebration of America’s artistic legacy, is launched on August 4. The largest outdoor art exhibition ever conceived, Art Everywhere US is organized through a collaboration among five major museums—the Art Institute of Chicago, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York—and the Outdoor Advertising Association of America. A total of 58 artworks from the five participating museums, curated with the help of the American public, will pop up through the month of August on as many as 50,000 displays nationwide, including static and digital billboards, subway platforms and trains, buses and bus shelters.
